THE ARKANSAS SPECKLEBELLY EXPERIENCE
Vocal Birds. Close Finishes. Unforgettable Hunts.
Arkansas County Guide Service offers fully guided morning and afternoon specklebelly goose hunts in flooded and dry agricultural fields throughout the Stuttgart area.
Specklebelly hunts may be conducted from layout blinds, pit blinds or A-frame blinds depending on weather, migration timing, wind and how birds are using the field. Guides scout current feeds and communicate the meeting location and hunting plan before each hunt.
Morning groups may leave from the lodge behind the guide or meet at a designated location near the field. Afternoon groups generally meet around 1:00 p.m. at one of our primary meeting areas before traveling to the setup.
Specklebellies are among the most vocal and exciting geese to call. Their responsiveness, close decoying behavior and excellent table quality have made them one of the most popular waterfowl hunts in Arkansas. Last season, our hunters harvested just under 3,600 specklebelly geese.

HUNT THE FIELDS SPECKLEBELLIES ARE USING
Flooded & Dry Agricultural Fields
Specklebellies respond differently as weather and migration conditions change. Daily scouting helps the guide team select the strongest field and blind setup for each hunt.

Dry Agricultural Fields
Dry rice and other agricultural fields provide feeding areas where specklebellies can work naturally into decoys.

Flooded Agricultural Fields
Flooded rice and crop fields create productive feeding and resting habitat throughout the Arkansas season.

Layout, Pit & A-Frame Setups
The guide selects the concealment that best matches the field, wind, weather and expected direction of approaching geese.
